1. Objectifs du cours

1. Develop cultural awareness and self-reflexivity
Help students recognize their own cultural conditioning and biases, and understand how these shape perceptions, judgments, and behavior in professional settings.
2. Understand key theoretical frameworks
Introduce major models for analyzing cultural differences.
3. Analyze the impact of culture on management practices
Examine how culture influences leadership styles, decision-making, negotiation, motivation, HR practices, and organizational structures across different countries and regions.
4. Build practical intercultural communication skills
Train students to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries, avoid misunderstandings, and adapt communication styles to different cultural contexts.

2. Description du cours

We will begin with a lecture, during which I will introduce you to the key theoretical frameworks in communication and intercultural management.
I have also prepared some videos and podcasts for you, based on real-life accounts, and you will be asked to watch or listen to them between sessions.
Then during the tutorials, I will use real-world business cases, role-plays, and possibly study-abroad or exchange experiences to translate theory into practical managerial competence.
